This piece was inspired by the benovalent  nature that exists in families and communities  especially in challenging times and environments.  A kind hearted individual steps forward and takes on the responsibility of caring for others who might be lest able. This is most prevalent or noticeable in extended family setting. This is depicted by the deep grooves on both sides of the central figure which represent giving hands.
