Igbin Oduduwa

This is about the mythical story of the creation of the Yoruba kingdom with its ancestral home at Ile Ife.  Oral tradion has it that Olodumare who resided in heaven gave his son Oramiyan a snail shell filled it sand to go down and pour its contents into the sea that covered earth. when he did this land formed and became the ancestral home of the Yorubas from where the migrated to other parts.
